An entrepreneur is someone who will jump off a cliff and assembles an airplane on the way down

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Starting and growing a business requires an incredible amount of courage. As entrepreneurs, we appreciate the importance of creativity and innovation but can also struggle with fear and self-doubt that block our courage and prevent us from reaching success. The foundational skill set of courage-building is being able to rumble with vulnerability and lean into the discomfort of uncertainty, risk, and emotional exposure that permeates our everyday work. Our ability to be daring entrepreneurs will never be greater than our capacity for vulnerability.

“Courageous Entrepreneurs: Rumbling with Vulnerability” is an interactive workshop designed to provide women leaders and entrepreneurs with an introduction to the concept of vulnerability and how it relates running a business. Adapted from Daring Greatly ™– a psychoeducational workshop based on the ground-breaking research of Dr. Brené Brown – the workshop will explore the definition, myths, and paradoxes of vulnerability, as well as the common (and ineffective) ways we armor up to protect ourselves from vulnerability. Participants will have the opportunity to connect theory to their own professional experience and learn strategies to better be able to rumble with vulnerability and bring more courage, connection, and compassion to their business.

You can’t get to courage without walking through vulnerability
~ Brené Brown

This event will be held at the Sandbox located in downtown Barrie. The event will be on Monday, February 24, 2020 , between 5 – 7 pm. Seats are limited so register today!
