XcelerateHER Story: Jennifer Potter

BBQ season is in full swing! Have you tried cooking with Jennifer Potter’s Sizzle Sauce? This month was the perfect time for us to share Jennifer’s story!

Jennifer Potter and her husband Greg, left city life behind to live a more peaceful existence on their 50 acre farm in the Beaver Valley. We had been serving our Sizzle Sauce to family and friends for years. Each time they did, their family all said “ you really need to sell this!”. Jennifer put it to the test by serving it at their wedding in 2015. The feedback was great and gave them the final push to take it to market. Sizzle Sauce started at the Collingwood Farmers’ Market in 2016 and has not looked back since!

The goal behind XcelerateHER is to connect women entrepreneurs to events, peer groups, mentorship, funding, and support. XcelerateHER has partnered with Simcoe County to bring an incredible group of women from various parts of the county to showcase their business and brands. Our hope is to encourage others to be inspired to start up right here in the County of Simcoe.
